This is a blend of 95 percent Sangiovese with five percent Malvasia Nera and Colorino, the latter adding to the complexity evident on the nose and palate. The aromas are intense and reminiscent of cherry and red plums, with hints of anise, dried thyme and orange zest. The palate is elegant, fresh and fruity, with juicy acidity providing the perfect foil for the ripe fruit and supple tannins.
